Last Wednesday, MAMA Youth trainees became MAMA Youth alumni at their graduation event. For the past 14 weeks trainees have been working hard making the Sky One show - What's Up TV. The first episode of the series will air on Sky One, January 27th 2018.
The graduation took place in the Sky Cinema at the Sky Osterley campus. We thank everyone who was involved in making this fantastic event happen and to all our partners who have supported us throughout the year and continue to do so. We had a great turn out for the trainees' graduation, including speeches from Barney Francis - Managing Director, Sky Sports at Sky & Zai Bennett - Director of Programmes, Sky UK. Both gave a personal reflection on the importance of MAMA Youth Project and its contribution to creating an inclusive industry, as well as equipping diverse young talent to kick start their careers in TV production.
Now that they have completed the programme, in the new year trainees will be going on paid work placements with our partners Sky, Endemol Shine Group and Procam TV, to further develop their industry experience and skills. We wish them all the very best of luck!
