Jacqueline Shepherd -Patron

Jacqueline Shepherd is a freelance radio and TV presenter and qualified journalist. 

She is a regular on BBC Radio London where she hosts the station's London Nightlife programme and a show that amplifies the stories from London’s African and Caribbean communities.

Jacqueline has been a regular both on screen and behind the scenes for the last 10 years Credits include hosting The Hundred for Sky Cricket and reporting for The One Show. Off-screen she has worked as a producer on Times Radio and Radio London among others. 

Jacqueline has always been passionate about flying the flag for inclusion and alongside her TV and radio work, has worked as a journalist and event host, writing stories and chairing panels on the subject.

Being asked to become a Patron for MAMA Youth Project is an honour for Jacqueline, who spent many of her career’s formative years working for the organisation. 

Jacqueline first joined the MYP fold, when hired as a presenter on What’s Up in 2013 when it first aired on Sky One. After an initial series reporting, she went on to anchor 14 seasons of the show. 

Alongside presenting, Jacqueline became Assistant Producer of the programme and later Producer. 

After moving on from What’s Up TV in 2019, she returned in late 2020 to another MYP / Licklemor Production as maternity cover, series producer, on the BAFTA Award winning, Life & Rhymes, series 1.

Throughout her time at MAMA Youth, Jacqueline was passionate about supporting trainees to realise and fulfill their potential. This remains an area of interest. 

Mark Wynter - Patron

Mark began his career in 1996 as a runner at Molinare before going on to become one of the founding members of The Farm. A proud working-class man from a single-parent background, he has long been a pioneering advocate for inclusivity within our industry well before it became a buzzword. His relentless efforts have opened doors for countless individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds, helping them enter the industry and build successful careers.

For the past 20 years, Mark has worked closely with the Mama Youth team, supporting, nurturing, and employing trainees and alumni, and continuing to champion opportunities for the next generation.

Sunita Shroff - Patron

Sunita Shroff is a TV presenter, events producer, property specialist, and long-standing advocate for inclusion in the media industry. Born in Scotland, raised in Greece, and of Irish-Indian heritage, Sunita has built a vibrant career as a presenter on the BBC, ITV and Channel 4. Sunita has also worked for BAFTA, multiple luxury brands annd charities and produced global events. She is known for her compassion, her ability to bring people together, and her dedication to creating opportunities for others.

Sunita is incredibly proud to be a Patron of the MAMA Youth Project, an organisation she believes is truly changing the face of the industry. Having started her own TV journey at a time when diversity was scarce, she is passionate about supporting young people from underrepresented backgrounds and helping open the doors she once had to push through herself.

Ria Hebden - Patron

Ria Hebden is a dynamic TV presenter, award-nominated entrepreneur, and
passionate advocate for diversity in media who is redefining what leadership looks
like in UK media. An award-nominated entrepreneur and television presenter, she is
the Founder and CEO of Wonder Women—a cultural force accelerating equity for
underrepresented women across TV and the creative industries.

Her on-screen career spans the world’s most influential platforms, from BBC One
and ITV, to Good Morning America, reporting on defining moments including the
King’s Coronation. She has hosted BAFTA Film Awards red carpet coverage for
BritBox International and interviewed global icons including; Jennifer Aniston,
Harrison Ford, Idris Elba and Sigourney Weaver.

Beyond broadcasting, Ria is building systems for lasting change. Through Wonder
Women’s year-long mentorship programmes, industry-leading masterclasses and
headline-making live events—including the Wonder Women Conference at
BAFTA—she is creating new pathways to power for women historically locked out of
opportunity.

Before her on-screen career, Ria was a successful publicist for Disney, Discovery,
Fox, and Channel 4. She is now a BAFTA voting member, ambassador for MAMA
Youth Project and Peer Power Youth, and a multiple National Diversity Award
nominee. Ria Hebden isn’t just a presenter— she’s a TV powerhouse shaping the
future of British television.

Gavin Ramjuan - Patron

Gavin Ramjaun is a presenter, host and senior journalist across popular TV and radio shows and content in the UK in sports, entertainment and news. 

His TV work includes hosting and anchoring for BBC Sport and BBC News, BBC One, Sky Sports News, Sky News, CBS News in America, breakfast television for ITV and Channel 5.

He’s also known for his work as a global speaker, talking to international business groups on making messages and stories count, his life experiences and working his way up from the bottom as a runner, to his experiences with diversity, racism and breaking barriers.

These experiences have led him to begin a new chapter in his broadcasting and publishing career, with the start of his Multi-Channel Broadcasting network MAN-ZILLA online and on social. It's a men's focussed news and entertainment platform. The channel caters for independent news and feature projects, to address men’s status issues, mental health and identity.

Gavin is a regular on celebrity gameshows - he won BBC’s Celebrity Mastermind in 2024, and has made appearances on Celebrity Pointless and Eggheads. 

Born and bred in Worcestershire, he’s a keen footballer in his spare time  - he played semi-professionally as a teenager and in university, and now plays regularly for charity and media teams touring the country. Travel and learning about new cultures is something he is truly passionate about, an interest stemming from his roots in Ile Maurice, with relatives also across Europe. Random fact about him … he held the world’s loudest whistle in 2007!

Kevin Duala - Patron

Kevin has over 30 years of Broadcasting experience.

After Starring in Starlight Express in the West End for 9 years Kevin went into the world of TV landing the plum role as host of the award winning children's TV show “Blues Clues” becoming a household face across our screens. Moving then into broadcasting Kevin presented a variety of programmes. Starting with a new BBC1 Investigative series " Britains Secret Charity Cheats exposing Charity fraudsters and highlighting the great work Charities do. Next up was

4 series of BBC1's consumer programme with Angela Rippon called “Health: Truth or Scare” debunking the headlines about the facts around health. Kevin recently finished presenting “Tool Club” a DIY show for C4 helping wannabe DIYers with a group of experts to up skill and tackle their DIY fears, then came an upcycling C4 series called "Bidding Wars" where he auctioneers as resellers bid to win pallets of unknown items. Also hosted part of the popular quiz show "Moneybags" again for C4. Alongside this for the past 9 years, Kevin is currently one of the main reporters on BBC’s The One Show. But Kevin's day starts with his Gold Aria award winning breakfast show every weekday morning 6-10 on BBC Radio Merseyside 95.8 FM; & DAB digital or on BBC sounds.
