Apply now for four weeks of FREE intensive training in Birmingham, delivered by BAFTA and RTS award-winning charity MAMA Youth Project in collaboration with Prime Video Pathway.
Running from 31 July to 28 August 2026, this boot-camp style programme places trainees in a professional production environment, where they will work collaboratively to develop and produce a studio-based show from concept through to final delivery.
Our award-winning training model gives participants the opportunity to gain practical experience across key areas of production, including content creation, development, production management, floor managing, casting and welfare. Trainees will build the skills required to access entry-level roles across TV, film, digital, and branded content.
Upon successful completion, trainees will become MAMA Youth Project Alumni and join our talent pool, providing benefits such as 6 months professional Talent Manager support, industry professional mentoring and access to paid opportunities with leading industry partners, such as Banijay, Disney, Warner Bros Entertainment, ITV, BBC Studios, Fremantle Media, Gravity Media many more.
We host online information sessions where you can meet a member of the MAMA Youth team, learn more about the training, receive application tips, and ask questions.
For a more in-depth experience, our in-person taster sessions offer a closer look at the training, along with guidance on career pathways from a Talent Manager. You will also receive practical advice on CV writing and networking in the media industry.

Throughout the programme, participants will work as part of a tight-knit team under the guidance of industry professionals from BAFTA Award-winning Licklemor Productions, developing content in a supportive environment that reflects the pace and expectations of the industry.
No prior experience is required. You will build practical skills through hands-on production work, supported by industry professionals.

This fully funded training programme is open to individuals aged 18–35 who are based in the Midlands and are passionate about pursuing a career in television and the wider media industry.
Ideal for those looking to take their first steps into the media industry or build on existing experience. It is designed to kick-start your career and open doors into a traditionally hard-to-access industry. We are looking for individuals who are motivated, reliable, and able to fully commit to the programme.
It is primarily aimed at individuals from under-represented or challenging backgrounds, and those with limited access to educational or employment opportunities, including unemployed graduates. MAMA Youth Project is committed to providing an inclusive and supportive training environment.

Due to our governing body requirements, we are unable to accept applicants on temporary visas. This includes (but is not limited to) Skilled Worker, Global Talent, High Potential Individual, Scale-up, Innovator Founder, Student, Graduate, family visas (including spouse/partner visas), and Hong Kong BN(O) visas.
The training runs for 4 weeks and is full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm. Trainees are expected to attend every day and be fully available throughout the programme. Some activities, particularly filming, may take place outside of these hours, so flexibility is required.
Training Dates: 3rd–28th August, with an induction day on Friday 31st July

Interview Dates: Interviews will take place on Zoom between 6th–10th July. Please ensure you are available on the listed interview dates before applying. Due to the high volume of applications, interview slots are not flexible.
Shortlisting: Shortlisted candidates will be contacted during the week commencing 29th June. If you have not been contacted by 6th July, you have not been shortlisted on this occasion. Our team will share further opportunities via email when capacity allows.
